News: ‘Oceanic Architectural Routes: The Work of Mike Austin’ launched

Faʻafetai tele lava to everyone who joined us to celebrate the launch of Oceanic Architectural Routes: The Work of Mike Austin last week. We heard from Objectspace director Kim Paton, book editor Albert L. Refiti, afterword author Icao Tiseli, and the man himself: Professor Mike Austin. It was a warm house full of Mike’s former students, colleagues, friends, and family, set to a superb double set by SANGUINE of Noa Records.

We especially want to thank our co-editor, Victoria McAdam, and the whole Objectspace team!

The book is published in partnership between Objectspace and Vā Moana, and produced with the support of Noel Lane Architects, The Warren Trust, and Copyright Licensing New Zealand. It comes out of our Marsden-funded research project, Artefacts of Relations: Building in Te Moananui.

Find out more about the book and pick up your copy via Objectspace.
